Hi, I just start climbing. I need a partner to climb with, maybe on the weekends. I would like to progress to outdoor climbs but I need practice. Unfortunately, all my friends don't get my new love for this. I want to climb at Atlanta Rocks in Atlanta. Any takers?

which atlanta rocks? the one off 75 or the one in doraville im there every now and then but not too often anymore cause ive started going too boat rocks a bit more latey

Indoor climbing does not prepare you for outdoor climbing. Get outside fast, it's more fun anyway.

Indoor climbing may not prepare one for every aspect of outdoor climbing but it's damn good training.

hi,
i'll be in you nieghborhood (sort of, see post above yours) from tomorrow till may. sometimes it's a nice break to climb with a female partner so feel free to get in touch with me if you get sick of the testosterone (always fun, but you get a different vibe climbing with another woman) and we'll climb.
the real motivation behind this is that i have these really fun prana pants that i dyed bright purple and can't stand to wear them out with the 'boys'. ruins the hard a$$ image it takes so long to create. :lol:

About what I'd expect from a sport climber LOL. Pulling plastic is nothing like climbing on rock. Gym climbers are famous for feeling and looking lost the first time they get out on real rock. Thsi is not an RC.com prejudice, it's my prejudice, and it is well founded. But don't take my word for it, ask people who compete both indoors and outdoors what they think.
Johnny, yeah that was me with the red shoes around lost digits for a little bit. Too bad it was so damp that day. I met several people there at lost digits, which one were you?

I've climbed outdoors, before and after a year of gym training. It helped a lot. Not with everything, but with some things.

No you have not truly climbed out doors, you have sport climbed. That's different. Sport climbing is just gym climbing moved outside for the most part.
