Going back to Stick Clip, when I first got into climbing I noticed a long run out to the first bolt that this guy just climbed, I said "Were you scared until you got to the first bolt?" He said "If you are scared to climb the begging with out being protected with a rope you SHOULD NOT BE CLIMBING THAT ROUTE." He is very right in my mind.

Being "scared" has nothing to do with it. I'd prefer to NOT have to have 3 of my buddies carry me out with a broke leg after I punt off trying to clip the first bolt.
I climb for fun, and for me. And I personally don't give a half a damn what any random person on the internet has to say about my (lack of) "ethics".
I swear that "ethics" word is SO overused in climbing. As long as you're not smearing shit on the rock, your ethics shouldn't matter to anyone else.
...deep breath...
Okay, seriously, I don't see why people are so aggresive about telling other climbers they're "cheating". Seems there aught to be better things to talk about.

However, I do remember several trips where my belayers demanded wearing helmets.... :D Try pulling DOWN on the holds instead of OUT. Hell I haven't had a hold break on me out there in years.... or was it last weekend? HAHAHAHA!!!1
Naw, and now that I have all this winter "Krispy Kreme" weight on, I'll clean that place right up of all loose holds! :D
BTW - How many routes are out there now? It's been a couple years, I should finally check it out. Now where'd I put that lycra....

here's the deal. we aint getting paid for this, and my ego aint too big to risk a serious injury. i rarely stick clip, but i will if a fall might risk a major injury. I aint too proud.
