My friend jeremy is soloing the zodiac! Its his first try on el cap. I'm siked he's going for it. If someone in the area could buy him a beer when he's finished I would gladly repay the favor when I'm in the valley in May.

He finished on Fri. His first el cap route- solo!!!
Apparently there are brand new ropes on the decent. No other parties except one on mescalito...

I'd like to see a trip report. As y'all have seen in my latest posts, I am seriously looking into *attempting* to solo El Cap next summer, and the Zodiac is near the top of my list of possible routes.

I would like to see him post a trip report too, but he's not into computers...A few things to consider: it took him 5 days, and there are 'brand new' ropes fixed the whole way on the decent. PM me and I'll have him contact you for more info.
