Too bad. But has anyone bothered to check and see if this landowner actually owns the slab area, or just across the creek? I tried to find land maps on the CCC website, but it looks like you have to visit the land office.

I don't know. Larry, do any of the maps you have access to show you what's what in that area?

Hey Stone or anybody else, How do your afternoons look. I am off by 3:30 usually and can be up in Golden at either CCC, Morison or Table Mountain by 4:30-5'ish. Can lead sport in the 5.10's and don't do much trad. I would be willing to follow and clean though. PM me if anyone is interested in weekday afternoons.

Junkie, Sounds good man. Depending on weather this weekend and amount of days off (wont know if I have off sat until late fri) I plan on heading back to rifle or down to shelf road. Got rain and snow last weekend in rifle. Your welcome to ride or follow. If I find I have both sat and sun off I will be leaving fri night. I have room for 2. IM Marty Stevens, you can reach me on my cell at 877-708-3882. Later

I've done a bit of research in the past on who owns what land and I've found out some interesting things...The forest service has no Idea what land they own (Salida District anyway). The best way to find out is to go to a Land Title and Escrow company or the county tax clerk. Most have huge reems that show exact plot locations. There is a way to cross reference the Owner's mailing address for Tax purposes at the county tax office (forgot the official name). Once you have the name and address you can 411 it for a phone number (unless it's unlisted). The clerk I spoke with had no problems with anyone off the street browsing so hopefully there would be no problems...BTW went to the gym two days ago and looks like I have a tendon pull...doesn't seem very serious (never had one before) but I deffinately know it's there so I'm going stick to easy stuff for a bit. Leaving for Tahoe $$$$ this sunday anyway. Hopfully I won't pull it again playing blackjack :D

Hi everyone, It looks like my rafting trip this weekend is being cancelled due to low water. So, if anyone wants a climbing partner, please let me know. I could go either Saturday or Sunday, but the weather looks a lot better for Sunday. Never mind, I found a partner. :D

Now that I'm on summer vacation, it's going to be lots easier for me to get out and do some climbing. The one caveat is that my 10 year old is hopelessly addicted to climbing as well, so will be with me 99% of the time when I go out. If anyone's interested, drop me a PM. T

Yep, starts at 10AM. They're going to have tanks and flyovers and a picnic afterwards but I'd still rather be climbing. I can sacrifice a day for the guys that just got back from Iraq.

In reply to: What day is it today? ZOZO - thanks for the quickdraw...turns out that you didn't leave one of mine at the top of that route. I have all 15 draws that are mine - thus - I have one draw that belongs to you. I'll have it with me next time - please ask for it as I'll probably forget about it. i do want to get that back to you. Hope you're having fun wherever you are. Thanks again for the draw - it wasn't necessary but very appreciated. JD

Hey gang! I'm finally caught up enough at the house that I can get my focus on the fun things in life once again! :) I'll be off next Th-Su(17-20). I'm looking to climb the wind tower - something pretty juggy if I'm on lead. Anyone want to go? Crazyfingers - you up for it? I don't mind seconding either but my "mad skills" are not that mad...if you want to climb something 6/7 on lead - I can certainly follow. If you want to swap leads - we'll have to have 5 or lower on those certain pitches. Anyway - looking forward to getting out of this new humble abode I own and playing on the rock. Where is everyone going this weekend? I have Th/Fr off this week. If anyone can sneak a quick climb in on Friday AM - I'm game. JD is the Catslab really closed or is that just rumor?

I'm also open to Boulder, Lumpy and South Platte. I would LOVE to climb in south platte if someone is able to join me. Let me know. JD I'm thinking Skinner's Mountain - 1937 route and Wally World - any beta on these routes?

Thanks again for the draw - it wasn't necessary but very appreciated. JD Hey James, that wasnt my draw so it was probably Kyles. But I thought he had all of his as well. Great on the house now its play time. On another note - We are tearing down the conference room today and will be done by three so Im going to go boulder at the snake pits around 5:30 or 6:00 if anyone in the springs is interested. Any weekend plans? Some down here might be heading up there to eldo but nothing is firm yet.
