Get the guidebook, it's awesome and has more information than most. Amazon or Mountaineer Books will have. Sorry, it's at home but I can't recall the author. Jeff

The approach is pretty easy but long. Don't take any "shortcuts" as they can land you in bad boulderfields. Just stay on the trail. You can camp anywhere in the Cirque. The best sites are probably near the small waterfall that leads to Lonesome Lake. Do NE face of Pingora. Have fun on the offwidth flare.

the aproach is aprox 9 miles from big sandy trail head and over jackass pass. you cannot camp within a 1/4 mile of lonesome lake due to polution problems.

there is no rock climbing in the cirgue of the towers, there is no rock climbing in all of wyoming for that matter. the towers they refer to are made of moss and top out at 12 ft. please go to maple canyon or american fork, there are exellent routes there at every grade. on a completly unrelated topic, has anyone in this forum done Black Elk?

When you going? I have two trips into the winds planned this summer, 7 days each. Looking forward to hitting the cirque and possible deep lake areas.
