I have met MANY of my close climbing friends on this site. I have only really met two people on this site that I don't care if I ever run into in person again. Not bad considering that I have met more than 30 from the site.

I haven't kept track of how many rc.commies I've met, but it's been an all-star roster for sure. How many people have been bouldering with Curt, BVB, and jt512 at the same time? :shock: One liver between 'em!

The site has introduced me to a lot of great people. In fact, I would say RC.coms best attribute is the fact that it can put you into touch with other local to yourself climbers.

Am ABOUT to make two friends. Three of us who have never met in person before met on RC.com, planned this trip, and are meeting for a month-long expedition of climbing in Kyrgyzstan! On July 2 (10 days!) two of us are hooking up in Bishkek, then we meander down to Osh to meet the third, and we're off to the Kara Suu and Ak Suu valleys.
Should be stellar, assuming no one shoots at us!

Nope. can't say I have.
luckily I don't rely on rc.com to provide climbing partners. I'm a member of the Alpine Club and participating in that group has allowed me to meet and climb with some great people.

I have met a bunch of great people here, and had near misses with a few more.
Everyone has been really cool so far. Especially Annie and her east coast crew, and Mtngeo and the Colorado Contingent (TM).
Something funny, almost nobody (with a few exclusions) climbs as hard as their profiles and online antics might suggest.
...Just an observation.
Well...gotta go, I'm off to go onsight a couple of .13a's.

Awww..how sweet!!! :) That is wonderful.
I too have made some friends in the short while I have been a member here. It's a fun place to connect with people. :) It's one of the sites I visit daily.

There's been quite a few love matches through RC.com in the past, this one isn't the first.
As for almost nobody climbing as hard as their profiles suggest, I've not found that true at all. Everyone I've met is pretty sincere about who they are.
