I usually wear gym shorts or warm up pants and a loose fitting shirt that doesn't restrict my range of motion in my arms at all

I suggest climbing in it purest form...
Go to a secluded spot and wear nothing at all! (Really, you have to try it)

Let me put it this way. I know this guy (no names) that climbs at my crag (again no crag name, but very popular). Anyway, he sends 5.12 all day long, trad, and wears his "dickies" and an old button up. That's all, no fancy cloths, and he climbs like a freakin' mad-man!!!!

Ok ok...if you aren't going to climb purely, then you absolutely need dayglow green spandex shorts, tube socks so your feet don't get unfashionably smelly, and make sure you have a reeeeealy tight shirt on, so that it doesn't get caught in the rope...
Need more beta? Let me know

Just a question guys...why not tights?
And please don't answer me: cos they're too tight!hehehe
I think they're the most comfortable! Why not?

I think that girls can get away with wearing tights. Guys, lol! Oh, side note, I got done with a trackmeet last night, and one of the runners in one of the 4x400's wore nothing but a speedo to run in. It was pretty gross. I think that tights are as bad as speedos are...for guys that is.

The stuff i wear is usually the nearest pair of shorts that i have when i decide to go climbing and a t-shirt. But if the weather is good, the shirt usually comes off when im climbing.

Go rent a tux thats what was recomended to me. And if they are out then get the dress they say that helps also. I have yet to use these methods. If you do let me know how it goes.

In cold weather, wear sweatpants, t-shirt and sweatshirt or fleece. Keep the shirt snug so it doesn't get caught in the rope and belay device. In warm weaher, wear t-shirt or tank top with bike shorts. They are comfortable. Don't wear skivvies with the bike shorts. You don't want VPLs Visible Panty Lines, while your butt is hanging on the rock for all to see. Keep that smooth look.

I suggest something in a low rise, mesh front brief. Then throw on some bike shorts (with crotch pad), a black mesh tank top, and a baseball cap (preferably from a feed and grain store or with high school football team logo). Add some sweat socks with two colored stripes at the top and you are good to go. It is also a good idea to put a rubberband in the ponytail of your mullet so it doesn't get caught in your belay device. You can score some bonus style points if you have a cherry kool-aid ring around your lips.

if you are a dude when it comes to underwear dont wear boxers. you need somthing controlling or you may get one of your boys caught between your legloop and your leg if you weight your harness like this it could be a teensy bit uncomfortable.

Depends on the climb. If it's something like Shockley's in the Gunks, a smile is enough. I think I read somewhere here that there's a couple that does Candy Corner (Seneca) in similar exemplary style annually. I'd give some serious thought to trying to equal that, but doing it in late November might be embarassing.
