Just make sure you don't get a pro deal from a "friend" who takes your money and doesn't give you the gear. Or at least know where this friend lives so you and Tiny can go visit him.

In reply to: I need a pro deal for some BD Ice-tools. I know it is a long shot but anything will help No, you don't "need" a pro deal. And, no, you're not looking for a "pro" deal, you're looking for a "bro" deal. Be honest here. You "want" someone to hook you up with a deal on bd gear, cause you're cheap. I understand wanting to save money (who doesn't?), but openly and publicly submitting requests from strangers - asking them to betray a company's trust they work with - just so you can get what you want cheaper is poor taste man. If you don't have the connections, you don't have the connections. No wonder BD pro-deals are stingy to begin with... Drew

Go guide or get a job at a gear store like the rest of ushad to. There is a reason they call it Pro-deal.

In reply to: If you don't have the personal connections, you don't have the connections. ...but if he has the personal connections then it's OK? How hypocritical is that?!? For all the times I've seen people post/brag about their "pro-form" price they just got on something shinny & new no wonder he's asking in a forum post. It seems at times with all the bragging that goes on about this deal and that deal you're an odd-ball out if you don't have a deal and heaven forbid pay retail or anything close to it. I've even seen others call someone a "tool" because they got suckered into paying retail.

The last two friends of mine who thought they were getting a pro deal from a friend got a NO DEAL. They both lost about $300. Keep that in mind when dealing with anyone, friends included. Always be paranoid. Trust no one. Buy from stores you can sue and get money from, not deadbeats with no job. Jobless deadbeats have no money except what you give them, which they will immediatly spend on porn and ju ju fruits.

'Pro's' (professionals) get 'Pro Deals' .... that benefit is earned by guiding , teaching or dealing with (alot of whiney) retail customers. if you want a deal maybe you should consider earning it!

Dude, don't be a tool. And certainly don't be so blatantly obvious about it. BD's got this habit of pulling PD priveleges for entire companies because of tools like you. So don't be a tool.

Here's a suggestion: solicit some USED ice tools on the used gear page here on your faithful friend, RC.com.

In reply to: Relax dude, if ya cant help don’t trash just ignore it Move on ya got more important thing to do  sorry, but i can't do that. i have to agree with scrappydoo and gottarock. if you want to pro something, either earn it or pay retail (or find stuff on sale). i can't just ignore it because doing so says "i can't help ya, but it's okay that you asked." i feel that your request, especially having been posted to a public forum, is inappropriate and unacceptable and i'm not alone in that sentiment.

I got to go with neuroshock, scrappydoo, gottarock and others on this one. I have a sponsor, I get pro deals and I am a pro. I also, feel your request "is inappropriate and unacceptable", asking someone to steal from parties extending trust to them is BS. Others may think differently, however I value the generosity given to me and would not betray this trust!

Pro-Deals are given to professionals who deserve it. Also, all pro-deals, as far as I know are for personal use ONLY. Some even take your measurements down. Pros WILL LOSE their pro-privleges if they are caught buying for someone else and/or selling pro-purchases for retail prices. In other words, you may end up getting your buddy in trouble and blacklisted from a pro-deal. Not worth it. A handful of companies do allow pros to buy for others during the holidays, but that's a long shot and the pro has to be a fave of the company for that. Try Ebay - a great place to buy gear, a lot of it new.
