I went out tonight to find the tamohawk boulders and after stopping at two bars and a gas station to ask for directions - "where's cortez? (because tamohawk doesn't just turn into cortez like the directions say)" and "where's goldfields? - nada. Sure I found cortez and goldfields which aren't really that close to each other but no boulders. Have street names changed? Could I get more specific directions? I'd really rather not waste another hour driving around. Any help would be great. Thanks!

one last desperation bump and then I'll assume they don't really exist or else they were chipped into the ground.

I've been there once before. I remember it being hard to find. I even asked for directions. I eventually did find them. (I don't remember how to get there.) If you are looking for an awesome place to boulder, then this probably isn't the place for you. And you are right about there being boulders chipped. There is one boulder drilled. Now if you are just looking for a workout after work/school. Then this place might work for you. I found it to be much better to just continue on US 60 for 20 more minutes and climb at Queen Creek. Probably the same amount of time from driving around the dirt roads of Apache Junction. If you still want directions, I'm sure there is someone out there that knows.

I haven't been out there yet so I'm not sure. Perhaps you should contact Climberben. but... After consulting a map, it appears that you have to take Tomahawk Rd. (north) to Bulldog Mine Rd. (north by north east) to Cortez Rd (north). It also looks like you could take Idaho Rd. (north) to Mckellips Rd (east) to Cortez (north). good luck
