I don't know what states or areas can see them but they are out tonight. I live in New York under Lake Onterio. Take a peak. From here they are dim but they stretch North, Northeast, somewhat close to the horizon.

That must be what we saw on Sunday as well. We were driving north from Boulder when we saw a glow to the north. There was one ribbon of it that looked like it went right over the top of us from west to east.

Cool! 8^) I've never seen that before.

....I'm jealous.... I havn't seen them for years.... well, of course we don't get northern lights in southern aussie land, but I saw them HUGE when I was near Jasper, Alberta in May 98.... unforgettable....

i saw then sunday as well. driving northbound I-65 between Indianapolis and Chicago. a faint bluish color...none of those reds & greens in those photos you see. was a beautiful sight.

Maybe they will be out tonight. These were a bit greenish last night. Keep your eyes peeled. :shock:

the only northern lights we could see here were from the town just north of us! stinking light pollution.

Yea I had some light pollution too. If I see them again tonight I'll post up in this thread again.
