In reply to: i dont think we have really decided on the dates yet JT. Adam, are the dates your coming out here set in stone? We aren't getting Indian Cove Group Site #1 over the 30th to the 2nd... GS#1 is open from Dec. 20th-25th and then again on Jan 2nd-6th The only Indian Cove GS that is availible from the 30th to the 2nd is GS #12 which holds 25 ppl and is one of those ones *way* at the end of that road aint it? um... ideas? For the non-new year's gathering, I'd suggest going a little deeper into January (which should up your odds of getting one of those good sites). Still, I don't care what site you get because I'll be camping at the 29 Palms Motel 6- I have no insulation, and possibly no thyroid or blood. Try the MLK Day weekend, if it hasn't filled up too. So, yeah, I'll be there, for at least an "official" gathering. I was at the '03, tried to go to the '04 one, and come out to JTree often enough anyway, but I almost always have rc.com homies with me. It's just not JTree without a bunch of rc.com goobers :) As for New Years, maybe, if mother_sheep is there :P I've done New Years in the park too. Indian Cove sounds the most appealing for climbing too, since it's warmer, and I will turn into an ice sculpture if we climb in the main park, in anything but full sun and no wind!

I second the notion of a gathering that's more in Jan, than in Dec. I've been to gatherings on the second and third weekend of Jan - and that would be much appreciated, over new years. You forget, some of us have to pay for plane tickets, and they ain't cheap over newyears... - d.

dood!! I told ya... I didn't inhale... I only like the smell of it when it burns... this glove does not fit. I dont know if I'd want your job tho... visons of mr. burns come to mind. :) so then... mid to late january sounds like is going to best for most involved? what about the 13th-14th of Jan until the 17th-18th? that's over a weekend even. anyone have any specfic dates that they *can't* go or anything? and... climballnight.... you live here in cambodia huh? me too, we should head up to mystery science theater on the grade or somewhere right around here sometime...

Any more news on the dates? I'm thinking about coming out, but need to make my plane reservations soon. The weekend of 13th - 18th would be good for me. Tickets from Boston to Palm Springs are $330, and to Ontario are like $270. Let me know.

I know the whole sad story, Adam. It was just a joke. Perhaps one in bad taste. Have fun out there!

My wife and I will be there if this thing happens! Doesn't seem like a date is set in stone yet... I can go any weekend in January!

BUMP. I am about to make reservations for Hueco for the weekend of Jan. 22-23. I'd hate to miss a gathering, though. So, if anybody cares that they might miss me, Alex, Jon, and CURT... ya better pick a date that isn't the 22-23 ;)

i guess not... well doesn't look like anyone is coming to jtree for new years. it's a little wet right now anyway. How about Martin Luther King Jr's B-day 15-16-17th? It's a paid holiday Well at least for me).
