Does anyone know what the season or schedule for the gate closing in winter and opening in spring? It was closed around Christmas, but I'm curious as to when it will re-open.

I have heard it closes after the first big snow and opens early April, at least by the 15th. I was there once the 1st weekend of April and after walking in, they opened the gate later in the day. You can walk, ski, or bike in when it's gated.

Thanks Charley. I had a hunch it would be closed so I brought the dog and we hiked a bit.

I believe that it opens april 1st. Though it has been so nice, that we have been hiking in.
