I live in the midwest and have only climbed at Red River Gorge and Jackson Falls. I was wondering where everyone else sport climbs or your favorite place to go.

I love the Red I was down there after X-mass and had a blast. We had the place to ourselves and the weather was beautiful. Other than that I have climbed in the Hocking Hills region but its all pretty chossy...but its climbing none the less.....enjoy..

i live in KY but have climbed quite a few places. I still find the red to be my favorite so far, maybe its because it is home, or cause of the friends, or the stellar climbing, but to me still the best.

rumneys got some killer sport if thats what your looking for

also, sportclmbr20, it would be helpfull for you to specify your abilitylevel,
e.g: telling someone to go to indian creek if they are just a 5.6 trad leader might not be the best recomendation, a place like the gunks would suit them better. or switched around, or whatever. Ya dig?

Since I live in Tahoe, I would have to say that it is my favorite place. Really good weather in the summer, and some places that you can go to in the winter. Good variety of rock as well. Yosemite is an obvious choice, but there's the whole ranger hastle thing. When it's too cold to climb here, Bishop is a good destination.

One of my favorite spots in the world is one overlooked by most people...the coral cliffs in southern Florida. Just in from the beach in a well hidden spot is the sickest wall you will ever see with routes ranging from 5.6-5.13. I have climbed in several states and a few countries and they pale in comparison to these exposed crags. And to top it off, the locals are the freakin' coolest! No attitude here. Just the best lines running anywhere in Florida.

And the gym rocks too!

Southern Illinoise. It has everything I want, except El Capitan.

Never climbed outside of South Africa but definitely would like to climb in the States after speaking to my mates who've been. So far locally though, I'd say Waterval Boven with over 30 crags is the best place I've climbed.

don't forget about the new river gorge(wv) and foster falls(tn). still love the red river gorge the most. sweet overhanging lines, don't forget to bring your forearms!!! i think the new is more technical climbing than the red. but that's just me. climbing anywhere is awesome!!!

If you ever go to AZ, go to Winslow Wall a.k.a. The East Clear Creek. So beautiful, check out www.sierrabc.com for pictures in her photo gallery.

I agree with azclimbergurl. Winslow Wall a.k.a. East Clear Creek is the way to go for sport in AZ. Look on www.sierrabc.com in the photo gallery. I have some pictures of the climbing.
Happy Sending!

For sport climbing it is hard to go pas The Glen. Centennial Glen in the Blue Mountains Australia that is. Plenty of steepness, heaps of routes from what you guys would call 5.10 to 5.14 and everything in between. Sun or shade at any time of the day and although it can get a little spoogy in summer there is no such thing as an off season over here so you can keep cranking all year round.

LOL, why not just head down to the city and ride the subway all day. It would be less crowded!
