the 2nd one sucks. the 1st one is much better, but still not that good, __________ I refuse to accept your reality, and substitute my own.

I must disagree, I like the 2nd one far better...first is just a memory game, though some work definitely went into it. I think the second captures climbing a bit better with the there are more ways to skin a cat method. I'm enjoying it...it's more like a puzzle game then anything.

cyberclimber lets you set your own routes... that's pretty cool. [edit] or at least they used to... I'm not seeing the option anymore

In reply to: Somebody call EA Sports. Ever seen NFL Street 2? An EA climbing game would end up looking like the latest wire-fu movie.

The only climbing game is Krazy Klimber. Any 30+ people remember that one. That is probably where the idea of buildering came from. I know i have wanted to builder but I didn't want potted flowers dropped on my head. Josh

They all suck!! What's with the Explorer sport track challenge? That one's the most lamest of all...how "X"treme. If I had to vote I would go for the gym climbing one because of the funky music...it sucks too though.

That last one is quite good. I like it. Only problem is that the climber does not have any joint constraints...he can move his legs up by his head infront of his body. On another note, I have thought about making a climbing video game as well, but it is a tricky subject...can you guys think of a better way then moving one limb at a time? How would you portray a 3d rock with climbable holds? It is not an easy sport to portray in the digital world. Last note, I'm boycotting EA, and if you don't know why, you can find out here...http://www.igda.org/qol/open_letter.php. There are many links at the bottom of that page including one regarding EA-> EA: The Human Story. It is the letter that started making this industry grow up.
