Two things: You Guys ROCKWhen you commin' back? I look forward to the opportunity to host you all again, only this time.... no callout duty (pager goes in the toilet) and I am camping. That slackline was so much fun, that I am going to install two 4x4 posts in my back yard so I can set up a slack line for parties(yup... I'm a junkie). No... the nails aren't blue anymore... I chickened out... I practice Aikido with about 5 police officers from across the state.... just couldn't brave it out... rck_climber (Army guy) knows what I am talking about... Thanks T' for the challenge. I look forward to meeting you all in your k'neck of the woods... This is my first weekend on the road (not far to Idaho). My lovely wife (not a climber, maybe we can call her "Gravity" or "Whipper".... I'm still workin on her) is coming to take pictures, and car camp. Although I accidentally packed her 5'10s and harness... oops!! [ This Message was edited by: k9rocko on 2002-06-14 14:57 ]

Where, Oh where is hangerless tonight? Why did he leave me there all alone? I searched SLC over and thought I'd find true love, But he caught an airplane and woosh! he was gone. Heheh..yea, I looked for ya, but I missed ya. Oh well. We'll hook up this winter at the Primo Climbing Capital of the World! And maybe by then, I'll have my lead legs fully developed and won't sweat those 5.1s so hard. [ This Message was edited by: crazywacky on 2002-06-14 15:00 ]

Toobig: you can take my cams but dude- do not try to take my nuts - or you WILL see the darkside. Amber: Thanks for getting my back there but have no fear, I am tempted from the darkside often (like everytime I pick up that 47lb pack) but the lighter side will only win me back on a temporary basis. I may be heading to Lionshead this weekend but I'll be in the Daks for granite cracks next weekend. How does an 700ft 5.8 multi-pitch with a 3-4hr approach sound, light or dark Hangerless: You have to head out here dude, sure the climbings good in the Gunks, Daks, Ontario limestone, Bon Echo, yadda yadda, but most of all the blue is fading to like a reddish colour - bring the war paint I need a support group Nailzz: Kind of ironic name eh? and yes T it must have been Jay, so did you get him to finally join the cult...erm...I mean site, nailzz. Great to see the ID mark works. lmfao Mick and T: that was a good campfire night to match many I've had. Scene: (not SLC) late fall, thunderstorm in full blow, lightening raging, two tarps strung lean-to style, seven climbers in a row and dry(except in an alcohol way), a roaring fire unquelled by the storm, fellowship, stories, and memories. Scene: Watching the last embers dim after everyone else has hit the sack, watching the trees sway in the warm night winds, seeing dancing firebugs flit through the darkness, I walk out to the lookout over the crag and survey the bay in the almost daytime light of a full moon, sky full of stars unemcumbered by the drowning of city lights ever brilliant and more prolific, bats and firefly's near and far, deep breath, living in the solitude of the moment. Moments and nights as these don't happen all the time but that is what makes them special. Hold on to them and seek more, they await you. I am honoured to have shared my time in Utah with great people like all of you. Profound thought: Sometimes the path of my life crosses that of anothers never to re-cross. But as we part I take a small piece of that person and leave some of me. I am changed. We are changed. And good fortune permitting it is for the better. Sometimes the paths will cross again and then we are once more allowed to exchange of good hearts and fellowship. Until our paths cross once more take care. Quote: Nailzz: Kind of ironic name eh? That's just the 'half' of it actually. 'Nailzz' is a shortened version of my full internet alias 'toenailzz'. It all started in high school when I picked up that nickname. Real name being Tony it only takes a certain number of drunken nights until somebody eventually transforms Tony into toenailzz, which eventually is shortened to nailzz. So, yeah it is rather odd. On another note, I'm glad that I'm not the only one who came away from this gathering deeply touched, by the company, the beauty of the canyons, and the quality climbing. I was a bit worried that I was the only softie in the group. And I was only around for a day and change. I can't imagine the bonds of friendship that formed over the entire 4 days plus. This gathering has inspired me to grasp on to the opportunities wherever and whenever they may come up. The day I headed back to work I put in for days off for both the Yosemite and the Smith Rocks gatherings. See you all there??? Have fun.

Yeah I'll get us some reservations at the McDonalds. Here in Utah you have to get reserves for McDonalds like 3 months in advance. Just to eat lunch.

Favor... As I mentioned out in SLC, I forgot my camera. Thankfully, a number of you were kind enough to get some shots of me. Can anyone who has pics of the group or individual shots of me send them to me? Soft copy can go to My Work Address (electronic versions); and hard copy can go to my address (Please PM and I'll send it to you). Really would like some from the buildering/park chaos from the pool, if anyone has any . I'll pay all shipping costs and costs of the prints. I'm eager to show my friends and family what we did out there. Thanks all for such a wonderful trip, and I appreciate any help you can offer. Mick
