About Little River Canyon:
little river canyon has what would apear to be a never ending supply of hard, high quality routes. The rock is sandstone and it is very overhanging. less than one percent of the routes here are 5.10 or easier. so this is not a crag for the begginers. because so much of it is overhanging it can be a great place to go if it is raining. the lizard wall has a huge roof and almost never gets wet. because there is not a published guide you might want to go with someone who knows the canyon the first few times. there is no camping in the canyon, but desoto state park is not too far down the road. |
