About Mt. Saint Helena:
This beautiful climbing area has some of the best rock in the Bay Area. The volcanic rock here is the remnant of an extinct volcano. On a clear day you can see the Pacific Ocean, Mt Diablo, Mt Tamalpais, and San Francisco from atop many of the routes. The approach is an enjoyable uphill hike through a pine forest. This area should not be overlooked. |
