About Muscatatuck Park:
This place is good for a lot of beginners and intermediate climbers. It has got a couple different types of rock that you can climb. It is also all bouldering. When you get to the bottom of the stairs you have stuff to your left and right. Left has a ton more possibilities. Also, to your left you will see a huge wall, keep walking on this trail past that and there is a bunch of great overhanging routes. This is probably my favorite section to climb. Do clean up after yourself and be polite. |
Nearest town or city: | North Vernon |
Directions: | Its pretty easy to find. From Columbus, hop on Highway 7 and take that South/East until you get to North Vernon. Once you get to North Vernon, keep going on that road and once you feel like you are leaving the town, on your right you will see an entrance to a park. Enter the park and follow the road down the hill and you will see a parking lot on the left side of the road. Park here and you will find the rock. All the rock is down by the water. |

Access Issues: | Please, try to keep the screams down at Strawberry Fields. There are homeowners directly above and they are letting us use the area. Also, climbing is currently restricted directly below the ruins of the Vinegar Mill and the rock in conjunction with the stone stairway. Absolutely no climbing on the 1840 ruins of the Mill. |
