The venerable -- and bizarre -- formation of Seneca Rocks has long been a destination area for those wishing to test their mettle. However, Seneca itself represents only a fraction of the stone in that region. Franklin Gorge beckons as many sport climbers as Seneca does trad, and development continues throughout the region in fits and starts.
