Edited to add this and this The bright side?, for a "small" country (small between quotation marks because compared to Canada, Spain is a tiny country, despite of being one of the largest countries in Europe), Spain has a hugely diverse climate. You can climb in winter in many of the southern crags and in summer in the northern crags, just 5-8 driving hours apart.
