Beth,
you're going to need mud boots to get around at rumney this weekend, it's going to be sloppy after all the snow that was just dumped there (I know because I was wading through the snow last weekend).
Anyway, if the forcast doesn't improve soon I'm going to Rumney too! But I'll wait til tomorrow before making any big mistakes...

Today was the best day at Rumney all spring. Maybe not AS dry as it was a couple weeks ago, but beautiful, sunny and warm. Plenty of climbing to be had. I'm going tomorrow too, assuming I'm not too tired fro an all-nighter tonight.
Definitely go Sunday. Everything can only get drier.

Well, it's mid-morning on Friday and the forcast for the Rose Ledge area is getting worse ... I was all set to switch gears to Rumney but now the forcast there is looking a little sloppy too ...
So I'm officially NOT going to Rose Ledge Saturday. Obviously, I encourage anyone else who wants to give it a shot to follow their instincts, but I'm not going to drive in order to not climb. There's some overhanging rock at RL but not enough.
I might go to BRG then on Saturday morning, or try to find dry rock in the Boston area in the afternoon. Sunday is still an option for me, but I think I'm probably going to head to Rumney or, if anyone wants to join me, to Pawtuckaway Sunday.

Do we have a rain date? Maybe we can push the date for Rose Ledge out another week and hope for decent weather next weekend. I haven't climbed there yet so I'd like to hit it before we climb Redrock.

I'll be second to make it official, I'm not going to RL tomorrow 'cuz of the weather. Sunday afternoon I will be climbing at College Rock.
as far as a Rose Ledge rain date, I won't be available for a long drive away the next two weekends.

here's wishing good luck on the weather to all the MASS CLIMBERS headed to RL tomorrow...turns out I would've had to bail on it anyway, just found out the ex is headed to her boyfriend's this after and I'd be lacking proper kid coverage tomrrow AM. ( I don't mind being 3 miles away a CR for most of the day, as Jumaringjeff, Tcollins & Dovaka all heard me answering many cel calls from daughters at CR weekend before last ;-), 82 miles is a whole other bag of sheisse)
anyway hope ya have good climbing...

I'm officially out. Weather.com is saying rain till after noon and then only partly sunny in Northfield tomorrow. Long way to drive to watch the rain through my windshield. So Sat. becomes a family day. :?
Now my real dilemma, climbing with Robbovius at CR on Sunday or free skiing up at Sunapee? Missed the entire ski season so far, anyone live up there? Is it even worth the effort or do I just resign myself to an entire missed year? :cry:

oh yes i remember the cell phone it never stopped you need to get a head set or something maybe a inplant hehe but now that weather.com is saying 90% rain tomorrow i think im going to bail on it but if it gets nice out im going to head out there either way expect to see me at CR on sunday now

Still at 90% rain tomorrow. I got four peole heading to Rumney in the am. Cloudy and only 20% chance up there. Who knows, I could end up in NY by tomorrow morning. Hope to see some of you somewhere. :lol:
