In reply to: Right on! I'm heading to GF too, should be there around 2. I'm partnerless, so if I can't find anyone to climb with, I may join you at 4. Won't be able to make it home and there by 2, but where are you planning on setting up?

Well if the van was down by the Gallatin and I could spend my days at Bridger Bowl in the winter.... I'll let you know tomorrow around noon, if things look good getting a way for a few hours shouldnt be a problem. I can always read over notes while I belay you, right?

I don't know how you feel about Crescent Rocks. I just like going there because it only takes twenty minutes instead if 1.5 hours for everywhere else. But I will be up there with my brothers from Utah. Even though you do not know me, anyone who wants to come is welcome. I am kinda new to climbing so I haven't really met a lot of people besides my brothers who climb. So this would be a good opp. daniela

I was thinking of a Great Falls day due to the forecast. Crescent might be doable though, what time are you planning on being there?

I will be there from around 9 am maybe sooner maybe a little later, due to the fact my brothers like to sleep in. As soon as I get there in the morning I will be there all day and into the evening, so if you want come up. I will also be going to the climbing gym in Sterling today around 4 p.m. If you want to climb tonight. I have never been to this gym, hope it is fun :o p.s. we always park on the road at crescent, so we don't have to walk 3 or 4 miles with heavy packs. daniela

I've never been there but thought not parking in the lot was frowned upon? Aren't there some access issues with regards to the adjacent neighborhood?

The people that I have talked to that live on the road do not have any problems as long as your respectful. Also, all summer there have been camps up there during the week and the instructors park alongside of the road and the buses park further on down the road. I guess as long as you do not block the road when you park and don't leave trash or make a lot of noise going down the road they don't mind. Daniela

My children and I have climbed the Sandbox and Dihedral sections of Great Falls until we can do most of the routes blindfolded. They want to climb something else at Great Falls. Any recommendations? They're turning into badasses and want something higher (although not harder). And don't forget the adopt a crag day. I'll be there.

Bring em over to East Face at the Dr. Needlepoint area. Its a nice face and theres a easy crack climb on the downstream edge called Last Exit thats also good.

there's this climb called snowflake i think which is a 5.7ish or something. it's before aid box and the belay is right on the water. just upriver from it is romeo's ladder which is a 5.6 i think...there's a couple of other good climbs in this area and they can all be reached from walking along rocks by the river. i remember really liking everything around there when i was younger. also, aid box is easy to get to and there's a good 5.7 there.

I concur that Snowflake is a good climb, which by the way is located at the Seculsion area, but if Pedro's looking for some longer climbs, Aid Box isn't the place to be.

Anyone want to climb this week let me know. Anywhere on the eastern seaboard is good, I've got some free time. GF also works, indoors blows.
