In fact they make you wish you were still single.

Oi. Sounds like a personal problem... :P

not really. tho it was in the past on occasion.

No, I am single and couldn't be happier about it.

Single is a state of mind.

No...single is my gift to myself and to women the world around.

As for the OP being a troll...well....of course.

99.999% of the threads and posts on this site are trolls. If everyone responded by calling out a troll, the site would be much more boring than it actually is. And so....we pretend....

And this has to do with picking up chicks how?

It has to do with someone positing the OP was trolling, which is a tangential topic within the thread. Keep up, dude! Girls like smart guys, y'know.

Bummer, I totally don't have anything smart to say back...

In reply to:
p.s. Volunteerism is good. Not always a great place to pick up dates....but sometimes one gives out apples and then oranges appear(meaning one gets connections and life skills through volunteerism that help them become a more interesting person. Which helps them pick up girls, or guys, depending on which they prefer).

[drumming fingers] ... nope, still drawing a blank. Sigh.

Wasn't this thread about twins?

No wait, that was the other thread about twins ... err double ropes. Blush Rats. too bad.

Now regarding apples and oranges, and mixing metaphores. The saying is what goes around comes around, or you reap what you sow, others call it Karma.Angelic

Now my wife was impressed that I was a doer not a BS'er. This applied to my life as a whole, not just RC'n.

So my advise to you, get yourself a crotch rocket.
;Don

And lets get back to thread drift and less serious responses. I still think we need a side discussion about twins...........

I love my twins, the red one is prettier, but the yellow one is much more well behaved. Naughty red.

Hey now. That can (and usually is) be true of any PERSON, not just a man. People are full of themselves by nature...especially we Americans.

The only thing better than getting laid by pretending to be interested in a girl is to... OMG!!! actually BE interested in said strumpet.

right you are! we are all full of ourselves to a certain extend, and I'll admit I have had to check myself on this very subject... There is a fine line between confidence (a MAJOR turn on) and Arrogance (turn off). true with any person, male or femal.

I'm going to ammend what I said before: the REAL trick to dating is to be yourself and learn to understand that if yourself is not enough for said person, then they are not the right person. There's where the confidence comes in. If you can't be yourself around a person, why bother spending time with them?

But I guess we need to first establish what it is the OP wants... a girlfriend or a summer fling? because all that about finding something in common and being yourself is not really valid for a casual fling.. THAT is all about how you look and how much she drinksWink

So the marginal reviews on my new cologne are probably right on then: ArrOfidence - works just enough get you thinkin', but never more than if you were otherwise drinkin'

Well in the nature of being full of myself (and male) I don't care what the OP is looking for. Wink

All I care about is who I can get to plug some gear this weekend...and so far all I got is a friend who is only good for a day trip...What I am supposed to do for the rest of the weekend?

Guess I'll have to settle and ride some trails. Ma bike wants to be riden anyway and I don't need a partner for that.

Get used to losing things, Paul. We grow until we're around 25, and then we slowly deteriorate and decompose until we're soil.

It's inspiring to know that everything I have done since 25 y.o. I have done while decomposing!.... and the more I decompose the better life gets! Wooo!

I've lost two girlfriends to desert trips. I leave home with a girlfriend, and by the time I get back, I'm single again. Plus, the desert is always warm!

I appreciate the kind words. It has taken me years to gather and analyze enough data to be able to put together a report as comprehensive as it was. I would just like to reiterate that it is not a matter of opinion, but rather fact supported by hard, undeniable evidence. This approach WILL work 100% (one hundred percent, the maximum amount of percent) of the time if carried out precisely and in its entirety.

Getting a hold of a female is not the social science that everyone makes it out to be. It's a matter of calculated effort and targeted approach. Especially if you climb.

I hold seminars on the east coast, and can be contacted via PM for my services which are free of charge. I only ask for a ham sandwich buffet.

You can make them say "wow" with a large big bro, you can impress them on occasion with a big set of nuts "damn, you carry those around", but nothing gets them starry eyed and mouth agape in ecstasy like a man who knows how to wiggle in his gear with skill and efficiency on a long endurance route.
