Who do you email to suggest who should be banned from this site. I'm tired of those individuals that rag/flame on others for no reason at all! If you can't be constructive keep your fingers off the key board
You don't have to agree with everyone else as long as we can learn from each other. No wonder climbing areas are closing, we can't even get along with each other!
Let's all grow up and respect each other. This site is to help each other, especially those just starting out....
I don't care if you only do bouldering, trad, sport, or whatever. I'm sure that I could learn something from each style, but any one style is not the end all of all styles.

Dwight, PM the forum moderator associated with the inappropriate post and let them know what thread it's in. If you want to get really fancy, paste the URL from the specific post in your PM so the mod can go straight to it. If it's a private message, pick your favourite mod and forward them your "lovely" message.
Or, you could just suck it up, cupcake! (Sorry, couldn't resist... )

I think banning might be too hard to do fairly but we could always try making a kill-file style feature like those used in most usenet newsgroup readers. So that you can select to ignore a certain user, once you have done that you do not see any of their posts any more...
As if you ban them, most likely they will reregister with a different name and start harassing you again.

That's a really good idea.
Hey, coding people -- would this be too hard/too big to implement? We have a "my friends" list ... could we have a "my enemies" list?
Actually, I was thinking more of a checkbox for "Ignore this user" on their profile page. I realize the back-end's more complex than this, and would be curious how it would affect overall database size.

I have an idea...
The only exception to the fair-warning rule should be for people who create multiple identities in order to troll about banning.
Silently getting the Insidious Auto-Ban and, when they think they've Finally Got It, using anonymizing proxies with "unknown" IP addresses, watching each of those proxies get auto-banned by their own actions...
Wouldn't that be frustrating? My, it's a good thing there aren't any satanically evil BOFHs around to get annoyed and set that up.

It would be nice if people were honest about their multiple personality disorder upfront, so I can laugh at their irony (if they're being ironic) or ignore them if they're just being stupid.

this is the INTERNET...not some NOLES class or Alpine 101...this site contains different people from different lifestyles with different views on climbing...you can't expect EVERYONE to fit in the mold YOU prefer.
I'm serious on the rock, and I come here for fun, to meet other climbers and to exchange info. Once you're here a bit, you learn who are your friends, who to ignore, and who can provide acurate information.
I'm glad there are all types of people out there making this site interesting.

I was under the inpression the after the "Parker" insident, Adams admin privliges were "removed". Interesting that he can still see tell all the different user name you have.
