It seems like PMs don't get sent right away, they hang around in the Outbox for a bit.
Is there a Send Now feature that I am unaware of, or some action I need to perform?

I think they are immediate. Try sending yourself one, and seeing how long it takes for you to get it.

Adam, you are right, it was immediate... but it is in the out box too! I thought that since it was in the out box it meant that it was not delivered.
Never mind.

I believe the way this works is that it's in the Outbox, until the other person reads it. This way you can actually retract your PMs! Yes, this to me is a very cool feature. In fact, some of you "hot heads" who seems to lose control a little too often can take things back before the other person reads it.
Once it has been read, it moves to the Sent Items box.
