In New Paltz, NY, there's Rock and Snow : http://www.rocksnow.com/gear/rentals.php

I'm sure there are others. Just call any climbing shops in the areas you're interested in. You can look in the back of the climbing mags and get a list of most stores.

r&s ran out b/c of the ice climbing festival tommorrow so i'm borrowing this dudes 1980s stuff...eventually i'll have to buy my own tools but until then i'd rather saw off my arm than pay full price damn being a student sucks

Just thought of this:

Check out EMS in Gardner. They might be renting some stuff.

They're also a good place to buy used gear for when you got some $! :wink:
