who bombed the resizing program for frontpage images?? It used to be that the front page images were only about 1/6th of the screen. It was a bit annoying when they started stretching across further, but I tolerated it. I wasn't going to say anything until this panorama of Cho oyu popped up, spread across the whole screen, and pressed the "recent messages" column down to about an inch wide. Don't get me wrong, it's a great image- it's just that I rather liked having the ability to choose if I wanted to view it. Is this a permanent change?

Something has changed today on the main page. The picture proportions are all over the place, with some pics taking up almost the entire screen, in some cases pushing the recent messages box so far to the right that it is off the screen.

I think it's kind of cool. The pics are one of my favorite features of this site. Why not accentuate them?

Hey guys 8^) Relax, small issue - not even worthy of calling a bug really - sorry for those of you on dial-up. We were "tinkering around" with the front page "a little bit" and despite the CSS width settings, it was still loading the full high-resolution image. Just a matter of adding the ol' width="" to the HTML Be assured that it was a temporary issue which is now resolved. As for pop-ups...I dont reckon we do that around here. Like overlord, I suggest you run AdAware or Sbybot Search and Destroy and once you are all sterilized, get FireFox. Hell, while you're at it, if you dont have a personal firewall, get one of them too 8^) ...maybe i should make my Nick Burns icon bigger...! lol

The rc.com page re loaded in the middle of viewing a topic with a message that the page could not load properly click here to continue. If you did click there it went to an excercise machine add??????

Such a problem would also affect those of us with plenty of bandwidth, since it would congest the lines out of rc.com, thus slow everyone down. And I don't think it's fixed yet, whether or not the problem is at the sending or receiving end of the line... At least my browser still downloads far to much data for such small pictures.
