I will be on a trip to Alabama (Anniston), and am looking to do some climbing on May 6th and 7th, but the area is new to me. I like easy trad. I have climbed 5.9 in Yosemite and some 10a in Owens River Gorge and have led 5.8. I am looking to do some climbing in the 5.7 or 5.8 range, the longer the route the better. Where do I go and who can I climb with.

Well. There is some pretty good climbing about an hour away from Anniston. Palisades. Also, Horse Pens 40 is just a little bit closer for some good bouldering. I'd been interested in hitting HP40 with ya. And also Palisades. I have no gear of my own but some shoes though. I live in Jacksonville about fifteen minutes from Anniston. Just let me know.

Hey Sasquatch, I have a pretty complete rack with me on the trip let's climb. I even brought an extra harness. E-mail me at jeremy9876543@yahoo.com with your number so we can meet up. I like the idea of climbing at Jamestown or and it doesn't seem like it would be too far or even Cheaha. Can you climb on friday? Even after work?

Jeremy
