Hey, I have a question about a trip, I have never been to Bishop before and I would like to go during Christmas break. What will the weather be like? will there be snow on the ground?

Good chance there'll be a bit of snow at the Buttermilks. The Volcanic Tablelands should have less because they're at a lower elevation. It really depends on the year. This year I went skiing at Mammoth the week before Christmas and there wasn't that much snow at all. We went down to the hot springs in the valley and there was no snow on the ground. Two weeks later everything was pummeled down to about 3000 feet. So yeah, it definitely depends. J-Tree should have more consistent conditions.
