gearExpress is better, they have a better selection. Northern Mountain pretty much just has overstock, closeouts, and blems. Decent prices on those, but gx has new gear too and decent prices ($4.95 shipping, for all orders, no matter what size/weight.)

A friend and me spend about $150 at Northern Mountain Supply about 5 months ago. It was a good experience and I'd buy from them again.

I've placed two orders from http://www.gearexpress.com. From my experience, I will use them when my local shop can't come through. Their friendliness and prompt shipping can't be beat. [ This Message was edited by: jeffe on 2002-06-22 13:14 ]

I was just reading on another thread under General Info about the European online dealers. That & have some pretty tempting prices!

I like to keep an eye on the rei-outlet.com website. They don't have tons of stuff, but you can occasionaly find a screaming deal or two.
