I have started to climb trees in the recent months and slackline from tree to tree. I was wondering if there are other people out there doing this...we plan to camp in the trees while backpacking with hammocks.

I looped a rope around the largest tree in my yard and climbed so i could sit on the branch. I want to try what you're doing (minus the whole slacklining thing), but I'd need a portaledge or something.

We built a platform out of wood and hoisted it up to sleep on...portaledges cost too much.

Put in a 20-25' tall approx. 80' long line in the backyard last week. Unfortunately I won't be on it for a bit due to an unfortunate accident, but I'll try to post pics later.
Interesting walking the thing; the sway of the trees is ... groovy.
