:? After multiple determined removal attempts (Saturday- we were the last party on the route), my follower was unable to retrieve my cam while at the crux roof. If you were dexterous enough to get it out, generosity of the same level would greatly appreciated! $$ Reward if I can get it back + good karma!! Leader's safety comes first, but getting gear back is a close 2nd!! Let me know & thanks!

Though your cam was gone, I did retrieve TWO cams out of the roof this past Monday morning.

Did you get that orange TCU out? I saw how far that thing was in, and didn't even look into getting it out. I was running out of flesh above my cuticles. My partner did booty a black tricam above the roof though. I just clipped it and climbed through. She told me that she didn't want to leave it behind because she thought it was mine, a great attitude in a second! 8^)

The orange TCU was actually a metolious power cam. Unfortunately, it was mine. Oh well it is now someones booty and I'm glad it found a good home. Sat was an excellent day to be at the leap even with the crowds. I'm thinking of returning on Sun or maybe a trip out to the coast.

I walked up to East wall and saw like 10 people at the base of haystack. I got on East Crack, because no one was on it. Came down, and haystack was wide open. I think there was a little drama on bear's reach from that same group...

Nope, I was not part of that group, but I do think I know the group you are talking about. We were one of the first people on the route. We probably started at about 930ish. On another note, Ive been meaning to check out DTSA, but have not had the time. Are there still alot of access problems? I'm thinking about hitting Fisk Mill on Sunday, but DTSA might be a better ticket.

In reply to: I think there was a little drama on bear's reach from that same group... Yes, that certainly sounded funky. I was over on the right-hand side of the cliff, just right of Psych Tree, climbing an unnamed 1-pitch 10a at the time. If it makes anyone feel better (i.e. me worse) I left a basically new #2 Camalot somewhere at the Leap on Monday. Just left the thing on the ground I think. Sh!t. Hey caughtinside, I'll be up there Tue/Wed again, feel free to come say hello if you're in the area. I drive a light blue, semi-rusty Previa minivan.
