I'm in for Sun. I think it's time for another ski sacrifice...we need more snow. Gary, you can throw in that rock board. I'll give up some old K2 skis and if Ullr is not happy with that, he can bite me.

Weekend forecast brought to you by snowforecast.
In reply to: Friday October 28 Hi Temp: 37/ 49°F (top/base) Lo Temp: 25/ 24°F (top/base) Sky Condition: Partly cloudy this morning, becoming mostly cloudy and cooler with increasing southwest winds and isolated snow showers by this afternoon. Cloudy this evening and tonight with scattered snow showers developing. Precipitation: Isolated snow showers this afternoon, Snow showers likely this evening and tonight with snow levels near 8,500 to 9,000 feet to start - snowfall potential; 1 inch of accumulation. Wind: SW at 4 - 12mph, increasing to SW at 15 - 25 gusts to 35mph (gusts to 50mph on the upper ridges) Saturday October 29 Hi Temp: 27/ 38°F (top/base) Lo Temp: 18/ 27°F (top/base) overnight Sky Condition: Cloudy and colder with southwest winds and scattered snow showers. Some breaks are likely, with mostly light accumulation. Colder overnight with isolated to scattered light snow showers. Precipitation: Snow showers likely, snow levels near 8,500 to 9,000 feet, dropping to near 7,000 feet overnight - snowfall potential; 2 to 4 inches of accumulation. Wind: SW at 5 - 15mph, increasing to W at 10 - 20 gusts to 25mph (gusts to 35mph are possible on the upper ridges) Sunday October 30 Hi Temp: 23/ 35°F (top/base) Lo Temp: 16/ 25°F (top/base) Sky Condition: Cloudy and colder with west/ northwest winds and scattered mostly light snow showers during the day. Areas of blowing and drifting snow are possible. A better shot of accumulating snow is possible overnight, and accounts for most of the forecast total below. Precipitation: 50% chance for snow showers, then likely overnight - snowfall potential; 6 to 8 inches of accumulation. Wind: W/ NW at 5 - 15mph, increasing to W/ NW at 10 - 20 gusts to 30mph (gusts to 35mph are possible on the upper ridges) Looks like as usual the bulk of the snow is going to hit after the weekend is over. Still if we get lucky and get a small shot tonight and snowfall on the high end Saturday night. Sunday should be quite good.

The Edge Doctor in Denver is about as good as it gets. I am not making it to the Warren Miller flick this Wed. You should try to make the Tangerine Dream showing at Splat's this Friday...

Probably just going out this Sunday. Vince you in? Looks like a good shot of snow for the weekend. That shoulder on Berthoud pass we worked last weekend should be good (and safe).

Yeah, I'm in for Sun. 8^) Speaking of safety, if you're interested in a little free beacon training, I am, check out this link. Steve and Charlie may be interested as well. http://rmrg.net/html/avy.html We could ski Berthoud and then pop up to Boulder afterward for the class?

I think we are going to have relative newbie bc rider out with us on Sunday. No big deal for where we are going, but this should be a perfect time for us to do a beacon search. That big flat ending area we went by on our last run would be perfect for such an exercise. It's time to do it.

We got nuked! Most areas are reporting over 30" in the last 72 hours. Most of it falling down starting yesterday. Avy danger is high right now, but should be subsiding by the weekend. I will get one day to ride by hook or by crook....
