Anyone interested in doing a winter ascent of the north face of mt sneffels this month? Sometime between the 13th and 22nd would work good for me. Will take at least 3 days (with good weather), 5.6 climbing on snow covered rock, probably no ice climbing necessary, fair amount of exposure to avy terrian on the approach and descent. Would prefer someone with a fair amount of alpine experience as this can be a pretty sporting climb. I'll buy the beer afterwards if that'll help convince ya.

I would be interested. Maybe the 17th, 18th, 19th? I need to check to make sure I can get those dates off work, otherwise I'm in. Do you own a beacon?

no one replied in time so i signed up for some shifts at work for those days. i took the 13-15 off and was thinking about trying to solo the route. would prefer someone else to go, so, if you can do those dates, let me know. yes, i have a beacon and a lot of practice in using it. however, they just help find the body before spring......
