Do you know wich area you will be climbing in on saturday? Where do you sleep? The Hippodrome bivouac or some other place? Hi Andre, We are going in several groups, staying at various places. The consensus for climbing on Saturday seems to be cuisinère. If you send me a pm with your GSM, we can ring you Saturday morning and meet up. All, Paolo and I decided NOT to dare the elements, since there are so many of us, and camping arrangements will be a big hassle, plus lugging the extra tents, etc. So for 6 of us - Tisar, Paolo, myself, Map, Muclimber and the other Italian guy, we will book 2 rooms at the Etap in town. Should be about 15€ per night (maximum) each. Hope that's okay :?: , it will sure save a lot of gear space. If not, let me know right away. I'd still bring a sleeping bag though, as Etap doesn't have the most snuggly blankets in the world... Ciao, Taz

Wanna destroy the chance of bragging about a night in a stiff frozen sleeping bag in a dripping tent with icicles hanging from the poles? The only chance for me to play the hardman... gone! BOOHOOOO! Okay, I might accept my fate. Maybe we can leave the windows open? - Daniel

I don't know of anyone, but you might post up- maybe you can round up a Spanish crew? If not, no worries- there will be plenty going on this summer. And you are always welcome in Belgium- we've got some pretty nice crags. Overlord- same for you, but- no arguing politics while climbing (only while drinking)!

Two days to go... I'm soo looking forward to meet y'all! Just a quick question: Chalk is prohibited in Bleau, isn't it? So there wouldn't be the need to discuss the white powder thingy in my luggage... BTW, anybody who wants to show me around Brussels on Friday? I mean, I could explore it on my own, but to be honest, I'd make it to the next coffee shop and that's it... - Daniel

Tis- no, chalk is not prohibited. Anyway, if you don't feel like bringing yours, we can point you to the climbing store while you're here. You really don't need to worry about finding your way around BXL. We have 2 (count 'em - TWO) metro lines and you can walk the whole city in like 3 hours. That said... I'm sure Ashley and the Italian guy (I still don't know his name!) will be happy to join you for explorations of the... coffee shop :? Just remember... this isn't Amsterdam...

Haven't seen an Amsterdam like coffee shop for years (and you'll find me seldomly behave like in one). I really thought about coffee exclusivly... :P Sure it would be nice to stroll around the city with Ashley and the 'Italian without a name' (IWAN?!?). - Daniel

Well, it looks like I may have to be a full-time spotter this weekend :( My fingers are soooo trashed from a bouldering trip to the Peak District (welcome to the world of gritstone  ). So we'll see, but is does not look too good for me. Oh well, I guess that'll lave me with more time to take great shots of you guys checking out how much worst than usual these Bleau sloppers are when it rains!

Map, what did you do? Trash tendons or just skin? In the latter case, get some "Climb-On" balm, it's a miracle, really.

Map, hope it's just skin! Two days are plenty of time to recover... What's that talk about rain all the time? *shakes head* There'll be no rain :!: Even the forecast doesn't nearly imply such inconvenience as damp weather. It'll be dry as a triple sec Gin! Dry as English humour! Dry as... you get it. Huh I got bumblebees in my trousers (speaking in pictures that is!)... I'm sooo excited... better get back to work now. - Daniel

Bet I'll need that beer at the end of the day! I'll try to hold myself till I reached your home, promised :D - Daniel

Back in Berlin (which was the hardest and most exhausting part of all, I had to run through the whole airport with two packs on my back to catch the flight ,which was a matter of seconds). There'are so many things spinning in my head, I wouldn't know where to begin... maybe with the fact that it's really hard to get back to German. At least three people (one in the tram, the lady at the bakery and my flatmate) gave me the looks 'cause I addressed to the in english. Need some sleep (german dreams preferred, if there're some, I wouldn't mind subtitles though). Claudio seemed to have the same problem, he was mutering some english words tonight while asleep... Thanks to all of you! It was such an amazing weekend! I truely hope this is not meant to be annual, and I see y'all before that. Gotta get some sleep now... Daniel

It was a great weekend indeed (albeit a short one for me!). Thanks Taz for coordinating everything! Bleau's great (not) weather got the best of me though, and I spent yesterday between my bed and the kitchen to get aspirin and hot tea :( See you all soon! Map

Okay Heiko, just for you, the short version of the TR: Pretty good friction (pretty good, as in "I don't know if I can dyno since there might be one hand frozen to the hold..." or "At least it doesn't feel like the foot is going to slip... wait a minute, I can't feel the foot at all  ") despite occasional rain and snowfall, hell of a company (girldrifter, paolo75, uasunflower, map and lots of other incredibly nice people), some really nice (and sometimes even hard) bouldering and a rather small amount of drinking. Areas visited: http://bleau.info/cul/ http://bleau.info/cuisiniere/ Some of the boulders we did (and I could find again): http://bleau.info/cuisiniere/9949.html http://bleau.info/cuisiniere/3217.html Fish was a killer! Don't know what he did, but give him some time and he'll do Karma (he tried and was impressing, that guy is 17!!!!). Long version to follow, I'm too lazy/sleepy. - Daniel
