Hello everyone: I'm new to the thought of rock climbing. I have only climbed the REI Pinnacle in Bloomington, MN once. What's going on in the climbing community this time of year? Where can i train during the off season?

I think you would thoroughly enjoy a few hours at the gym with someone to belay for you. PM me and I'll see someone keeps you off that aforementioned site. kidding. Midweek is a good time to get in without too bad of crowds.

Hey Joshin. I started out the same way you did about 3 months ago, and I'm at VE in St Paul every Mon/Wed. The crowd down there is pretty cool, and most helpful in getting you started. The hardest part I find is it can be occasionally a bit daunting to ask for help early on, since most of the folks there are climbing waaay above the level you are. I've sent you a PM if you need a starting belay partner, as I'm likely (and I may just be blowing smoke) near the level you are, or just above. Belay on!
