where can you climb in WY in the winter? Sinks Canyon? Vedauwoo? Somewhere else? Is there mostly reliable climbing at these places, or is it hit and miss? I'll be staying near YNP this winter and am looking for somewhere to climb.

I've been to the Vedavoos in the winter (my folks used to live in Cheyenne, ugh). You better like postholing to get to the rocks if you go after it has snowed for any time (or bring the x-country skis). Other than that, it is nice and quiet. Cold as F, of course. Have fun.

Sinks canyon is absolutly wonderful in the winter. As long as you go when the sun is shining and the wind isn't blowing too hard, you should have an excelent day climbing. But, if you think your hands will get to cold , you can either climb with gloves on or go buy one of those little chemical finger warmer things and put it in your chalk bag. Or you can just grab your "crotch" and scream like a baby ! Anyway, I highly recommend sinks in the winter.
