yeeeeee haw! 80 degrees and sunny today - got the windows all open and am enjoying the sun pouring through my office windows. I have to say, since I work in an office, at least I'm the only one in here and have 3 large windows on the corner of the building to get the sun in :) Didn't make it out climbing like I'd hoped - instead Mike and I are working on getting a vegetable garden going in our yard... tilled up now I need to clean it up add manure and get to planting... all before I head to Michigan next Wednesday... should be interesting :) Have a good one all!

Going to michigan to climb? Just out of curiosity... is there much to climb there? i used to live there, before i got into climbing. Just wondering if i visited some old friends if there is anything worth goingto whilst there. I can't say i remember anything. -Magnus

is that a raccoon on your head phil? nice mullet wig......a tad hot though!~! morning all, raining on and off all night. Think i'll postpone another skaha trip until next week. Besides, some aussie friends are having a huge housewarming party complete with entertainment. should be fun. It is officially bear season. My son saw one on the street . it was only about 11pm. I asked luke if he walked the other way, he replied, "it didn't see me so i just walked on the other side of the street." WTF.

Magnus, don't know what history you have with Abi but let me chime in... A) She didn't say anything about climbing in Michigan, so she might not be responding because she has no idea what you're talking about. B) She might just be *gasp* WORKING... she usually only gets to post once or twice in the morning before her employment intrudes. C) She probably is not any more inclined to respond, now that you waited a whole 35 minutes for a response on the internet before choosing to slam on her.

Incidentally, looking at my post, it came out sounding a lot harsher than i ment... it was ment to seem alot more jokative than that. also, i realise that the conversation had nothing to do with climbin in MI. -Magnus

In reply to: mrmrmr... sorry... got a bit carried away... mrmr... sorry Abi... -Magnus Good Man. Now take out the garbage and fetch me a beer on your way back in. 8^) FWIW, Abi is not from MI, didn't go to college there and as far as she has ever said has never mentioned being there prior. I don't think she'll be much help on the climbing question. But the routes DB does list a bunch of areas in Michigan http://www.rockclimbing.com/...hp?CountryStateID=78

Didn't need to give up a season of climbing from some dumbass fall on the slackline!!! :D besides, the rum and cokes were going down nicely btw, phil has nicer hair than most women!!!!

wow sun, did I piss in your coffee? just kidding man - Chad knows me in real life, he's my big bro on this site. He's right - I hardly go to Michigan and it's not a climbing trip, it's a wedding trip. My future brother in law is getting married, and I'm in the shindig. Those who've been in the coffee house the past few months have gotten a helluva earful from me about being in this damn expensive affair.... but I digress.... and Chad's right - I was working, then working out at the gym, then working some more... man this job thing is a crock! yeah, no climbing in MI, but a TON of drinking and one filet mignon dinner for me :D  thanks for getting my back chad :)

Fair point, although the law here allows you to drink at 15: if you are having a meal with your parents you may drink wine or beer (or any other low vol drink) Alternitivly you could head to a nightclub at 14 and get in. no probs.:P -Magnus P.S. Again, sorry for the dickness.

Again, sorry for the dickness. And according to what I saw, you can drink anything at home with parents consent at age 5 or something. Plus you're only a year (or part thereof,) from your full on boozing license And don't sweat the dickness. I just wanted to get you realled in before Abi got ahold of ya. Depending on her mood it can get ugly. 8^)

Oh yeah... and about the scotch here... it's REAL scotch... and you may be wondering "whats the differance?" Well, the differance is when you drink this, you KNOW what you just drank was real scotch! firewater indeed! It burns it's way down your throat, which is good if you have a cold, will clear you head at a sip, but if your a pansy like me... well then. -Magnus
