Morning Charley. You beat me to the punch, but I'll spike it anyways. Looking forward to the weekend. Yet no climbing, all the rock will be weaping anyways. I'll be out in my WFR class enjoying the weather, whether it is sunny, rainy, snowy, windy, sleety, or freezing rain... I can't get enough coffee today. I'll be programming... Yippie... (<<<----- cant you just smell that excitement!)

I've always wanted to take a WFR course. No real justification for it though. Even if I got certified, can you imagine lying on the ground, dieing of a snake bite or internal injuries from whatever misfortune has befallen you and wandering down the trail comes me? I sure as hell wouldn't want to see that. Morning all. I'll take some of that bacon and some coffee please.

which leads to 2 of my 3 favorite quotes.. "Don't worry this won't hurt me a bit" and the bleeding one ;) mm amputation.. reminds me of the BSA's old lifeguarding protocol.. to rescue a struggling swimmer give them a nice punch to the head to knock them out and then drag them in. so not only drowning but with a head injury as well well i had an amusing as hell moment this morning.. 4 of the track girls found a way to fit all their shins in the cold whirlpool at once.. all wearing the little neoprene toe cozy's

yea.. luckily red cross and YMCA protocols include some sort of flotation tube/bouy so you just fling them that and let them chill out or if they grab ya then suck, tuck and duck out of there :) anyway. off to clinic

Yeah, the BSA lifeguard icludes trainig for swimming in remote locations where a rescue buoy or pole may not be available. And the bit about cold-cocking someone has always been an absolute last resort measure. Plus, you know how many time's I've taken one on the jaw nad m'I jsut fnie. drain bamage is nto a reel cunsern.

Morning, gang. More coffee for me, black, please. It's 8 am and I've already been up for 4 hours. 48 hour shift at work, then off to cover a multi-team rugby tourney on Sat/Sun. Seems the players have been known to get hurt from time to time and the organizers want medical staff, "just in case." I will have some grits, too, if anyone is cooking.

But I don't want eggs and bacon! Could I please have Belgian waffles, yogurt and fruit salad? Or at least a special-order omelet? Coffee would be good though. Parent-teacher conferences at 7:30 am are not meant for people who climb until 11 pm the night before...

lena_chita wrote: But I don't want eggs and bacon! Could I please have Belgian waffles, yogurt and fruit salad?... NO! You'll have bacon and eggs and you'll like it! Why, when I was a kid, we had to walk uphill for 3 miles in the snow, barefoot, and then wait 6 hours for the damn chicken to pop out an egg. You should be grateful! Oh, and Kachoong??
In reply to: Grits - Bleechhkk!!! Them's fighting words, bubba.

Buenos días gente... Woke up in a great mood, 2 hours in the office and I am already grumpy as hell... I'll take a HUGE black coffee (no sugar, no milk), bacon, eggs, grits... the works. Marge, I actually stopped drinking coffee first thing in the morning because on those rare occasions that I couldn't have it, my temper was so bad it usually got me in trouble. Have a good one everybody... -F
