Just wondering if anybody knows anything about apprenticeships for a couple of months. Has anyone here ever done anything like that in order to really hone their skills from those that are super-experienced. If so tell me about it

Don't know if I've ever actually called it that, but my partner (Matt, aka rockhopper25 on RC.com) and I love to introduce newer climbers to the sport and guide them in the basics of climbing all the way to their first lead. All our "training" is done outdoors and is hands-on.
Would love to say it's for solely for the love of the sport, but we really just want to get some more people into it to get more partners . We are currently working on 11s and a (yes, one) 12 right now by ourselves and have been climbing for a combined 17 years or so.
So far the reaction has been entirely positive, about 1 in 3 that we take out for the first time fall in love with it and are hooked for life .

I've put up postings on lots of bulletin boards
at the Rock Gym, or Gear stores, and posting online here. RC.com has been a great forum for partners (mentors). I've been meeting up with more from this site, than any calls from a bulletin board anywhere.Broganadams has been great,an online mentor as well as a great partner off site. He has as taught me so much in such a short peroid of time. He makes this site a plus.
You can find someone, a mentor, or two, just put up postings,here or on bulletin boards.

I dont mean like people who teach those just new to the sport, I guess what i meant was in general most of the people I meet are somewhere around like a 5.9 5.10 level climber). What i meant was someone who could take off a few months to climb like 5 days a week not just as a hobby. Sort of like a hired guide. I had heard that some individuals hire guides and such from various schools around the country to really improve like someone would if they were trying to become a great baseball player or golfer, and not just someone that wanted to do it on the weekends. And i dont mean in a ratings chasing game, it is just that i had heard 2 people talkign about this sort of thing and i didnt know if there were places that had actual programs like that. But im not talking about learn to lead stuff, im talking about when you are already a good climber.

Ah....got ya now.
Sorry, never heard of any programs like that - although there were some postings a while back (http://www.rockclimbing.com/forums/viewtopic.php?topic=3030&forum=23&2) that named off some schools that do teach how to be a guide and I'm sure that if there were some people that did this, they'd know about it.
