Chacalata..Por supuesto, primero das vuelta a la derecha, luego 100 KM despues a la izquierda, sigues por una carretera un poco estrecha.. Just kidding dude, never been to Ecuador, only Peru, the "Escalada en Espanol" forum on here might be useful, otherwise climbing gyms in Quito/Guayaquil??? Not to be rude, the correct Spanish is "Como llego a este lugar?"..(don't even ask me to put the proper accents + the upside-down exclamation sign at the beginning, can't remember the alt+ combinations) Have a good trip dude..

Chacalata is between Cuenca and Loja in the southern part of the country. It's probably about an hour and a half south of Cuenca. There's no good way to tell you how to get there. You have to get off a bus at an unmarked road on the west side of the PanAmericana and walk for a few miles until you see the boulders. I've looked all over Ecuador for decent rock, and these are the best boulders I've seen. Plenty of decent problems. Worth a trip but if you are in Quito, they are a long way away (10 plus hours).
