I enjoy a nice dark porter from the local brewery to help my climbing recovery.

Isn't anyone just plain THIRSTY at the end of a day? "watery beer" gets close to the need.
Me, I need a quart of two of water.

Try Lapsang Souchong tea with scotch,
or Darjeeling with rye.

They warm and inspire.

Hot Cocoa and whiskey.

RyanB thanks for that. Stuck the dyno and only spilled a few drops, I guess there's room for improvement.

oh.. also a drink I came up with I like to call a RumpleMeister (Shot of Jaeger and shot RumpleMintz over ice, liver smackin' good!)

Ice cubes belong under the crampons--better to call them seracs. They ruin good whisky and whiskey as well!

Not goddamn hippie, but goddamn pedant Wink

I agree! A Fat Tire has always done the job but I have found out recently that alot of the locally brewed beers are very good. I always try a local beer first now.

When I lived in Boulder - after a hard day of bitter cold routes, we'd head straight to the Mountain Sun and order a round of Java Porters and $2 fries. The thicker darker beers give you the calories to keep warm.
