With all the good weather we are having right now, it is the perfect time to climb. We should plan a gathering for october or early november. There are tons of members in the area and we should meet up. Let me know what yall think. The season to send is here!

I am all for a gathering, but how ling can this beatiful weather last? Where we have it should have some south facing "oven" style cliffs. But count me in!

How about Oct 11-13? Just to set a date. We should still have good weather then.

Sounds good to me. I'd be interested in some easier trad (up to 5.8 ) - Mule hollow (nice 500'3-4 pitch wall)has a nice Eastern facing wall, gets DIRECT sun as soon as it clears the horizon until early afternoon. But would also gladly join in on any sport. I've never done American Fork canyon or Mapleton. [ This Message was edited by: timpanogos on 2002-09-23 22:21 ]

Hansen Mountaniering in Orem is having a gear swap on Oct 12 from 10-12. I don't know if that would interfere or actauly make it more of "climbing day." I have some shoes I need to sell, but I am shure I could climb in the afternoon. Hey, anyone needing some 40.5 Scarpa Reflexes should be there! I'll be there ... oh wait I guess I'm already here. Along with everybody else that replied. Looks like a whole slew of Utah climbers from the site just getting together. It's a great idea though, there's still a few people that I've only talked to through the site and never even met or climbed with in real life. That alone would be nice.

I figured it would be mostly for climbers in the SLC area. There are many people I haven't seen since the last gathering. I am always up for meeting more climbers. The date was tenative, but the week before is the City of Rocks gathering and any later may be too late. Definately should have one day in LCC and the other could be BCC or AF.

Another thought... It would be fun to have an RC.com SLC gathering this winter sometime for some ice climbing and alpine climbing. We'll have to open this discussion back up when the ice actually gets here. I think it would be a lot of fun though.

Yeah, I see how you are. You have an SLC gathering just before I get settled into the city and then as soon as I leave you start planning another one. I smell a conspiracy.
