Because she is so goddam entertaining! So, I have a feeling when I look back on this year, I'll see it as a growing and learning cooperative process...the stolen booze, the wrecked fridge, the futon, the having to pick her up at jail....oh wait, I haven't told you about that one yet? So my darling roommate woke up the other morning and decided she NEEDED to become a protester. I mean, I'm as anti-war as she, but we never really talked about it and she was always to busy hitting the bong to get very...active. Mainly cause she wants to bang the guy who runs the anti-war movement on campus, but still, this new turn of events has blown my mind. http://vh10175.moc.gbahn.net/...MaxH=650&title=0 Yup. thats her. So, today she goes and attends a sit in, demanding to speak with the senator about a budget for more money in Iraq. They said they wouldn't leave till they met with him. Problem was, the guy was in Washington, and had voted on said bill this morning. The protestors stuck to their guns, believing that a "JK, Take Back!" button exists on every desk on capitol hill. So, they waited, and when the office closed the secretary called the police and hauled my roomie and 7 others (including an 82 year old woman) outta there. See, she keeps me on my toes!

kinda reminds me of some activities I participated in/photo-documented during the first go-round, and by that I mean GW1, locale Seattle. after having seen that first hand, i was not suprised one iota a decade later when we became involved with iraq once again. i still remember hearing GB Sr. on the radio declaring war on iraq.... i do miss the loss five-and-a-half years ago of what now appears as a naive outlook on the world. damn it all to hell, carlin was right.

All dressed up and noone to picket! I can picture his poor secretary... "really, you people are giving me a headache... please stop yelling, he can't hear you a thousand miles away, no matter how loud you are... oh I should have stayed a cafeteria lady, i don't need this shit." You should give roomie and the rest a hint, alot of senators and congressmen have websites where they post their schedules as to when they will be in a home office vs. when they will be in Washington. At the very least a phone call to the office will usually get you the info. They could have saved some effort and gone and protested immigration reform or something that day.

So if she wants to bang the band leader, why did she need to do the whole protest thingy? She's a woman. All she had to do was march into his bedroom and take off her clothes, deed done. Oh excuuuuuuuuuuzzzzzzzzzzeeeeeeeeeee ME!! That was insensitive...

I picked her up because this was just too good...way to good. I mean, I respect that she takes the time to fight for what she believes in but....nope, there's no but, just me giggling in the corner. This guy is too smart, if you know what I mean.

Not to get picky, but the way her sign is written could be construed as: No! More war! It's all about layout.

I'm just curious why biner took the time to take a picture of her eh 'unique' roommate? I think their may be some sexual tension between biner and the crazy hippie. We all know biners views on male genitalia. carabiner96 wrote: Oh, that's right...I'm to good for testicles. My sex got smart and developed ovaries...no dangle dangles here.

It's so easy to laugh, it's so easy to hate It Take strength to be gentle and kind" - Morrisey Doesn't anyone else find these threads about how awful someone else is just a wee bit telling on the teller? And why do you others chime in like this is your home-brewed version of one of those vaccuous tv shows(American Idol, Top Model, or any of those others). Oh, yes...because this is your idea of fun. It doesn't wear well on you all, not that your fashion-conscious in that sense. Biner - Why do you continue to do this?

other than the "dick" jokes, biner's thread is akin to biner unloading her roommate frustration on her close friends and family. It's the little frustrations in life. We need a place to vent, find humour in those events that might drive us insane. What do i find telling about biner's posts, she is very frustrated by living with a shiteous roommate and somehow she's survived the year living in roommate hell. And, she bailed that shiteous roommate out, something a few of us might not have done!!!!!!

I had to reread this a couple of times... how does bashing 'biner's hippie roommate relate to American Idol?.. If it does, I'm never bashing the futon again.

Crash & burn if you were trying to connect some sort of lame, postmodern epiphany with a rock climbing forum. Anyone who spends two seconds in the campground will realize that Biner is the modern day embodiment of Rosie the Riveter. You do not screw with the Biner. In fact, she already has kids, and by all accounts they are taking over her.......agressive nature:

You know what? You're right, it is telling. It's telling in the fact that 'biner is a 20-year-old (19?) in her first years of college, dealing with her first roommate and is using the usually friendly confines of this board to vent her frustrations. It also says that although she may have problems with her roommate, she still cares enough to go get her out of jail. Perhaps when she's a bitter, pathetic bint in her 30s her complaints and overbearing self-importance will be a bit more difficult to accept, but until then she should be given a some leeway. BTW, trying to come across as cool by quoting the Smiths? Yeah, try spelling the singer's name correctly, mmkay?

Aww, guys, I love you all... Happigrrl, I totally understand where you're coming from, but akin my thread son my roomie to other people moaning about significant others, work sucking...I'm not married, so she's the closest thing i've got. BUT, it's a working relationship, most of the time we're best friends, you guys just hear about the times we're not. Oh, and I unfortunatly can't take credit for the pic. That's courtesy of the Burlington Free Press. (She was on the news last night too, looking very sad as she was escorted out by men in blue....wearing a Dartmouth sweatshirt :) )
