Trying to arrange camping for a trip to NRG. I have heard good things about Chestnut Creek (and I think (scratch that-- I know) I am far too old for the Roger's crowd ), but I am unable to find a phone number for it on the web. Does anyone have it and perhaps know the rates for this year? Thanks, Jen

I have it as (304) 574-3136 as well.
- Please remember to wipe the sinks off after you're finished in consideration of the next user
- Don't remove the hand soap from the sinks to use in the shower.
- Please don't use your feet to flush the toilet.
- Hold the flush lever 5 seconds after using the urinal.
- No dogs allowed in the shower house.
- Please clean your cookware in the sink outside the shower house.
- Do not empty food scraps into the trash cans inside the shower house.
- No fireworks are allowed in the campground.
- Quite hours begin at 11pm through 7am

A friend of mine calls it Rule Creek for that very reason. Never the less, it's some of the quietest camping in the area.

LOL. Agreed. Chestnut is definitely the quietest, and cleanest campground at the Gorge (and compared to many other areas around the country I have camped at for that matter). It's always my choice when camping at the Gorge. Climbers may claim that they don't like to follow rules, but that never seems to stop them from staying at Chestnut Creek. The reality is that you need a good nights sleep to be ready for a busy day of defying authority...
