I haven't seen a thread on this. Who is going to the Seneca Rocks Cinco De Mayo Party? http://www.thegendarme.com/...e/article.asp?id=521 THREE companies are coming to demo shoes. It sounds like more booty is being given away then last year. Finally, the kicker.....My sexy mug made it onto their webpage for advertisement. Oh yea, my wife is in the picture too. From their webpage: Go climb, demo climbing shoes, enter the salsa contest, eat hot wings, drink cold beer, win free gear and celebrate the beginning of rock season The 5-10, La Sportiva and Scarpa folks will be there in the morning with shoes to demo. We'll have our 2nd Annual Salsa contest ($5 to enter, $50 to the winner, judging at 6:00). Kurt's famous hot wings and beer apres climbing. A pinata bursting with free loot (literally) in the evening.

Ha! Those are all my photos from last year. I'm pretty bummed I can't make it this year. I'll still be in the middle of raft guide training.

Thanks for taking the photos. They are awesome. I hope you have fun in the guide training. Do you get on the river much while training? I guess I will just have to wait until the NRR to see you.

tradmanclimbs wrote: which weekend is it?? You can't be serious. Maybe you are only asking to bump the thread twice. (appreciated) Cinco de Mayo happens to be spanish for May 5. A party for May 5 is going to happen on the weekend of the 5th in May. Additionally, the link I provided has the dates. FYI: May 5 is the party, but the whole weekend of May 4-6 is the celebration.

Who'd buried in Grant's tomb? What color was George Washington's white horse?

Well I'll be heading out there with a buddy tomorrow morning, staying through Sunday evening. Anyone from the DC area interested in carpooling?

This was the first beginning- or end-of-season party I'd made it to at Seneca. It was definitely a great time, and there were lots of cool people there. Sunday was also the first decent day of climbing I've had at Seneca this year. Not a cloud in the sky and absolutely beautiful. Hard to complain about that!
