Im traveling to Austin for a few days and then heading to Schulenburg (League City area i guess) for a wedding and would like to do some bouldering since Im going to be with nonclimbers. Is there any good places close buy that I could hit up and enjoy either in Austin or on the way to my destination I could stop in at?

Don't take a trip through San Angelo.
Supposedly there are two spots being developed there with some friendly guys to show you around. I just spent a month down that way and never had a single returned call or e-mail. While the two areas were not worth the time for climbing, the river was a good time. The rest of Tx around there is pretty flat.

Thanks, would it be a good assumption that I may run into someone in the Austin area that would be willing to climb or boulder that is clsoe and not take alot of time to get to? Im on a tight schedule but want to get something in since Ive never been there and would like to check some areas out in case I decide to revisit.
