I'm looking for a partner for the weekend of 16 & 17 who's up for some of the easier multipitch stuff in Yosemite valley. I lead up to 5.6 and follow to 5.9. I have a rack, two ropes, a car and I'll be camping at Wawona Friday & Saturday nights (getting there late Friday). Willing to carpool from bayarea and/or possibly share my campsite. My profile on rc.com will give you an idea of my experience and level.

Thanks

that would be ideal for me. i've been leading for about a month...5.7's, 5.8's. i would be HAPPY doing 5.6-5.7's all day. i have a rack, 1 rope.
if you're looking for someone more experienced i understand, but if there is room i would love to get up some easy's in yose.

I would enjoy that too. I don't mind climbing in a group of 3 or 2 groups of 2 if more people are interested. Would be even better if we can carpool. I live in the Bay Area, Mt. View.

I'd be up for joining anyone then. I'm Berkeley-based. [No car, but will pitch in for gas]

Hi everyone,
I can carpool with anyone who can at least get to San Jose/Milpitas area (up to 3 people) and will pitch in for gas. I'll be leaving San Jose at 8pm on Friday the 15th. One thing to note is that I'm camping at Wawona and don't plan to drive into the Valley until morning so if you have camping arrangements in the Valley you might have to crash at my campsite at least for Friday night. We'll split the cost by however many people are camping with us (so it won't be much). I'm pretty sure I can have up to 6 people at my site. If camping with me please be aware that we'll have to share the bear locker for food so plan accordingly. I currently don't have a National Park Pass, so if you do, let me know!
FYI, Elliot, to get from Berkeley to Milpitas just take BART then the 180 bus to the Great Mall station. Should take about 1.5 hours.
Please let me know who still wants to carpool ASAP to we can plan.

Thanx!
-Holly

Sounds like a good trip, is there any room left? I have no problem going through the bay area to pick up and carpool.

Hey David, I haven't heard from Holly if there was any room left on the trip, so I don't know yet.

David, I'm planning to spend some time in LA and San Diego within the next couple of months. I'll PM when I know my dates, maybe we can go out and climb something in the area.

What's it like up there currently? Is it blisteringly hot yet? Still room at Camp 4?

I'm going July 19-22, could use a partner, similar in terms of experience. Would like to do Royal Arches, but that might be too ambitious -- I'm not a fast climber.

Yeah, it's hot already. July will be even more so. My group ended up not doing as much multipitch as we'd planned because the only shade was at the bottom on the walls, thanks to trees.

I am from So Cal, and i have a Chevy Tahoe with Telivions to pass the time. my partners ae married and with new childred. I have a lot of expereince in the Valley. I recently fractured my hip, so 5.6 to 5.9 would be great. i have 5 to 6 ropes dynamic and static, and rack big enough for any big wall.
Let me know if a group of newbies are all going up, i could drive, and it would be fun.
