If its not too much of a burden, could you add the May Block into Ragged section of data base as well. I need to check on the exact ratings but, I wanted to add may day (5.13 X) and may crack (5.8 G) to the data base. There are two other routes on the May Block I just can't remember them right now. One is a 5.3 chimmney and the other is a 5.7 face climb. Later, Sean

Chris, The Nichols guide does not have WWC listed, I'll do some cross checking and try to figure it out for you. Thanks for getting the DB updated! Jim

WWC is one of Bob Clarks routes... The crack I speak of is directly left of "Lost World". It's a really nice climb, more people should do it. -percious

Also, the chimney climb between the 2 sections of May Crack is called Great Chimney (or something similar), 5.3.

I'm giving it a 5.7R. The top part is a bit dicey, and the rest feels as hard as 3rd crack. -percious

How about today? Does anyone want to climb today after 3:00? I've got a rack and rope and don't mind bringing both. I got out yesterday and the weather was perfect, the rock was dry and warm... We tried some wicked hard routes by the memorial plaque at ragged. (awsome face climbs) Sean 203-331-2617

That's the most ridiculous reason not to send a climb that I've ever heard. You should have nailed it to inspire him, if you could have.

devkrev, Didn't mean to insinuate anything. Don't know or really care what your ability level is. I'm just saying-- If you could have finished the route, maybe your partner would have picked up some beta on the route and good technique. However, now I'm curious, how does one go about "pretending to have trouble with a climb"? And how do you aquire such skills? Is there like a Hollywood climbers school for this? Did you make the Sly Stalone face on the last move? Because I think that would be important. OK, OK, I don't want to take this too far. No hard feelings man. I'm just bored and find this topic amusing.

Climbhigh, The way that you "pretend" to have trouble with a route, is that you go about having all the trouble that you normally would with the route, but you totally could actually send it. I'm joking, this whole thing was a joke. Noseblob and I had spent the day falling off and working that route, and so he had made the comment about me flailing on it. Its the internet, don't take anything seriously. I was hoping the little thing at the bottom of my post would help get that across, but I guess sarcasm is hard to catch in cyberworld. I almost kept going with it though. dev

Does anyone here have any info on the holds that were supposedly chopped off Dol Guldor on East Peak a while back and whether or not it changed the rating? Had the opp to TR it yesterday along with a follow on Thor's Hammer. OMG! these are two of the best climbs I've been on in CT. DG was absolutely relentless and amazing at the same time. Definitely a 3 star route. It felt like about 5.11B/C. Any other opinions on this?
