Hey all, just curious, has anyone tried out the new bivyies from OR? There are two, the aurora and the micronight. I'm looking at buying a new bivy, but am not sure if the micronight would fit the bill. Its lighter and cheaper, but durability is questionable. Anyone that has used these, please let me know how they work, for climbing obviously. Thanks.

I have an integral salathe bivy and love it, but if I were doing things again I would go simpler/lighter. Take a look at Wild Things bivy while you're looking.

This is what I carry for an unexpected bivy, a goretex Wide/Long bag cover. http://www.montbell.us/products/disp.php?cat_id=33&p_id=2321025 9.4 ounces; lighter in regular size obviously.
